One cocktail for everyone

san francisco

Not every cocktail must be alcoholic, the most famous non-alcohol cocktail is the San Francisco. Colorful and without alcohol is perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy the sweet flavor of a classic. It is made with fruit juices and grenadine.
Ingredients
Preparation
The first step is to fill up the glass with the grenadine. Mix up the juices in the cocktail shaker with the ice. The last is to fill up the glass with the juices and we will have a two color appearance. Delicious!

MOJITO

A favourite of Ernest Hemingway and other Havana movers in the early 1900s, the Mojito is currently enjoying a reclaimed position of fame. With a reputation as the Cosmo for the more adventurous, it is no wonder that it has made a celebrity appearance on “Sex and the City“.However, it gains serious cocktail kudos in the James Bond movieDie Another Day” when the bikini-clad Halle Berry emerges from the sea and Bond utters simply ´Mojito?

Place the mint in the bottom  of a highball glass, then pour over the rum, lime juice and sugar syrup. Using a barspoon, pound the ingredients to release the flavour of the mint. Add the ice, stir well, and then top up with the club soda.
Give it all another good stir and serve immediately.

WHITE RUSSIAN

You can imagine nostalgic White Russian exiles sipping these after the Bolshevik Revolution and dreaming of the steppes and snows of home. If you leave out the cream and substitute Kahlúa – a rich, brown, coffee-based liqueur from Mexico – for the white Crème de Cacao, you will end up with a Black Russian, which you serve, over ice, in a lowballl glass.
Try as we might, we have been unable to find a Red Russian to complete the picture.
  • Two parts of vodka

    white russian copia

  • One part with Crème de Cacao
  • One part thick cream
  • Ice cubes
Quarter-fill a shaker with ice cubes and add the remaining ingredients. Shake thoroughly and strain into a chilled martini glass. The alternative method, favoured by some U.S. mixologist, is simply to pour the liqueur and the vodka over a couple of ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass and top up with cream.
Don’t you really want to try one now?

BANANA DAIQUIRI

banana da
An even more exotic, but equally delicious variation on the traditional classic. Substituting passion fruit juice for the banana turns this cocktail into Passion Daiquiri. If you simply leave the fruit out, you end up with a Frozen Daiquiri.
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend for a few seconds, until they are smooth, creamy and firm. To chill, add the crushed ice and blend for a further few seconds. Strain into a champagne flute, dip the reserved banana slice in lemon juice and garnish.

COSMOPOLITAN

Affectionately known as the ‘Cosmo‘, this cocktail has become the thirty-something’s best friend. Its fame rocketed with the success of the showSex and the City, and has never looked back…! In one small cocktail glass, the Cosmo encapsulates all that is New York sex appeal and urban glamour.
Half-fill  a cocktail shaker with ice, then add the vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice and lime juice, shake thoroughly. Strain the liquid into a frosted Martini or cocktail glass and garnish with the fresh berries or lime twist. Serve and ENJOY!

GIN ST. CLEMENTS

The Saint Clement’s is a non-alcoholic cocktail. Though the ingredients may vary, it always consists of orange juice mixed with a lemon-flavored drink, usually in equal proportions; the name of the drink refers to the English nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons. The drink is therefore named (indirectly) after either St Clement Eastcheap or St Clement Danes, both churches in London. The traditional recipe calls for equal parts orange juice and lemon juice served over ice in a highball glass. There are many variations, in which the lemon juice is replaced with a sweeter drink (like lemonade), or even a carbonated citrus-flavored soft drink (like Sprite, 7-Up, or Fanta Lemon).
Won’t you try it? 😉
